Education has long been recognized as one of the key contributors to eliminating poverty. However, education comes with a separate host of problems which includes school fees, meals and health care. Girls have a bigger challenges when it comes to education in Uganda…with the help from good friends and generous people, the foundation was able to sponsor children and provide their families with meals everyday..
Food Program
Food Provision- There is tremendous human suffering caused by hunger and malnutrition in underserved communities. The number of hungry families in the slums is high as many can hardly afford a decent meal in a day. The human and economic costs of hunger and malnutrition will increase if the trend is not reversed. Sean Perry Foundation has vowed to provide decent monthly food baskets that is able to push the families and the children throughout the month
Medical program
Access to medical care is a prominent concern in Uganda. In spite of government hospitals, there is limited or no quality treatment and medication. This builds up health issues in communities that can not afford proper medication especially those in the marginalized communities and slums. Sean Perry foundation is working a partnership with Riverstone medical center to provide quality medical care to children in these communities.
Single Mothers
Violence, conflict, social breakdown and death have led to thousands of single mothers in Uganda and Africa at large that cannot sustain their families. The foundation has come in to support such mothers less advantaged communities.. Evaline and Veronica live in Jinja which is a district in Uganda
